The Healthy Living Pyramid
The healthy living pyramid is a good source of infomation on what to eat most and what to eat less of.
Starting from the bottom is seeds and grains. Grains includes bread, cereals and pasta. You eat most of these items.
The next section going up is fruit and vegtables. This also includes nuts, dried fruit and beans.
Following fruit and vegtables is dairy and meat. Meat may seem to be good for you, but try and get lean cuts with less fat on them. Dairy is good for you but try to aviod cream, full fat milk and icecream.
Up the very top of the pyramid is sweets, fatty foods and not very healthy things. We don't say not eat these foods, but just try and aviod them if you wish to maintain healthy eating.
